Adrafinil [Liquid] – Product Details
What is Adrafinil?
Adrafinil is a synthetic compound that is being investigated as a prodrug for modafinil, a medication known for its wakefulness-promoting effects. It was initially developed in the late 1970s in France and was primarily used as a potential treatment for narcolepsy, a sleep disorder characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness.
Adrafinil is believed to be potentially metabolized in the liver and converted into modafinil. Modafinil then potentially crosses the blood-brain barrier and exerts its potential effects on the central nervous system. It is believed to work by increasing the release of certain neurotransmitters, such as dopamine and norepinephrine, while also reducing the reuptake of these neurotransmitters.
